WOMAN ARRESTED FOR TRASHING CAPITEC BRANCH WHILE NAKED

Cape Town police have arrested a 41-year-old woman for allegedly trashing a Capitec branch in Strand.

The video shows how the woman, dressed only in sandals, starts to grab electronic devices from a consultant’s desk and throw them around. It seems as if she’s throwing a consultant’s landline phone while he is on his cellphone and walking past here.

Then it seems as if she’s trying to grab a computer screen and walking to another desk where she also takes something and throws it on the floor.

Details about why the incident took place or the woman’s state of mind is unclear, even to the bank. In a statement, Capitec said:

“We at Capitec are as perplexed by this matter which happened at the Strand branch as everyone else and we are trying to get to the bottom of this.”

In the video fellow customers and bank employees can be seen trying to get away from the situation and walking out of the bank.

No further comments have been made by the bank.
