The 18-year old YouTuber, McSkillet, was driving on the wrong side of the highway when he collided head-on with an SUV, killing a 48-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter.
The YouTube star who gained a total of 878,181 YouTube subscribers on his channel by posting mostly gaming videos is also known for designing and selling game modifications, referred to as 'skins', for the popular game 'Counterstrike'. McSkillet was the one behind the wheel of his McLaren supercar in San Diago as the car collided head-on and burst into flames on Thursday.
McSkillit, formally known as Trevor Heitman, was linked to an accident just 30 minutes before the major collision at Ashley Falls Elementary School, also in San Diego, where several students saw him drive through a fence and break a window, luckily no classes were in session. According to the California Highway Patrol, the mother and daughter have yet to be formally identified because of how badly their bodies were burned. However, reports have identified the two as Aileen and Aryanna Pizarro.
A spokesperson for California Highway Patrol said: "At this point, I don't have anything to clarify why or what possibly made him do what he did, whether he was under the influence at the time, whether he was having any other issues." No one can say for sure that Trevor was having any issues because there were no indications on his social media accounts or YouTube channel that indicated suicide, the only noteworthy occurrence would be that he hasn't had an online presence in over 5 months.
McSkillet tweeted a video of his car reveals last year December.
