COULD TIGER KING SEASON 2 BE ON THE CARDS?

The Netflix documentary series, Tiger King, was the lockdown hit we were all craving to get us through the COVId-19 pandemic. It proved to be such a hit for the streaming service that there might be a season two coming soon.

The Sun reports that more than 64 million households watched it worldwide. The series gave us a glimpse into the world of American big cat owner, Joe Exotic, and his ongoing battle with big cat activist and rescuer, Carole Baskin.

While Joe, who is currently serving 22 years in prison for plotting to kill Carole, and his husband are keen to do a second series it is reported the Carole is after the big bucks this time around.

An insider told The Sun that "Carole is asking for a seven-figure sum. It's around the £1 million (R22.8 million) mark. She wants to plough it into her Florida sanctuary, Big Cat Rescue."

Besides owning the sanctuary, Carole was given complete control of Joe’s zoo in Oklahoma after a judge ruled in her favour and found Joe, whose real name is Joe Maldonado-Passage, guilty.

Since the release of the first series, many people have been asking what happened between the last episode and Joe being arrested. Hopefully the second season will give us a glimpse of the drama.

Hollywood big names like Rob Lowe and Dax Shepard have all put their hands up to play Joe if the rumours of a Tiger King movie are true.

Hey all you cool cats and kittens, if you haven’t seen the first series, watch the Netflix trailer below to see what it’s about.
