DU PLESSIS CHALLENGES ADESANYA

The Ultimate Fight Championship (UFC) Middleweight world champion Dricus du Plessis has challenged his rival Israel Adesanya to a fight.

This isn’t the first time that the South African has challenged the Nigerian to a fight. In the middle of 2023, the two were meant to fight, but du Plessis was forced to pull out of the fight due to an injury. But this time he’s hoping it’ll take place on the African continent.

Du Plessis then challenged Adesanya again immediately after he won the world champion title when he beat American Sean Strickland in January. That place took place in Canada.

Now, both du Plessis and Adesanya are ready to face each other, and UFC boss Dana White has initiated that the fight could take place in Africa.

During a recent interview, du Plessis confirmed his intention of trying to get the fight to happen here.

“I think Israel Adesanya is going to be my next fight. I want the fight and the people want the fight. In an ideal world, we want that on home soil.”

Du Plessis didn’t hold back when it came to challenging Adesanya again.

“You claim you want to drag my carcass around in South Africa… So be a man of your word, and let’s do it.”
