KATE APOLOGISES FOR EDITED PHOTO

Catherine, Princess of Wales has apologised for editing an official photograph released by the royal family.

The photo was released to the media and published on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ social media accounts to celebrate Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom.

The photo featured the Princess along with the couple’s three children, Princes George and Louis, and their sister Princess Charlotte.

This was the first official photo published since the Princess underwent scheduled abdominal surgery several weeks ago. At the time, a statement issued by the Palace said the Princess went in for surgery and will only be back in action after Easter.

This has caused speculation among people as the health of the royal family is currently a hot topic. King Charles III was recently diagnosed with cancer and an enlarged prostate.

Since the release of the photo, the Princess has taken to X, formerly Twitter, to admit to editing the photo herself. She apologised for “any confusion” caused and said as an amateur photographer, she was “experimenting” with photo editing.

Renowned international publications including CNN, AFP, PA, Associated Press and Getty Images removed the images as it became clear that it wasn’t the original image, but altered.
