LOUIS VUITTON OPENS CHOCOLATE STORE IN SINGAPORE

There’s luxury chocolate and then there’s Louis Vuitton chocolate.

The luxurious luggage label recently opened its first chocolate store outside of its French borders.

Le Chocolat Maxime is located in the wealthy Singapore area of Marina Bay Sands. All the chocolates on sale in the boutique are created and produced by the award-winning patisserie chef Maxime Frederic.

Frederic is from Normandy where he cultivates a special type of hazelnut that’s smaller than the standard hazelnut but produces a more intense flavour. This hazelnut is used in all of Frederic’s handcrafted chocolates.

For the chocolate sold in Le Chocolat Maxime, Frederic draws inspiration from the luxury brand’s most iconic motifs and style, according to Delicious.

The famous Vivienne music box created by Louis Vuitton was the inspiration for the big chocolate centrepiece in the middle of the boutique. It’s called Vivienne on Malle and the chocolate music box can also pirouette when the chocolate key is used.

For Valentine’s Day this year, Frederic and his amazing team created the Filled Heart Saint Valentine consisting of five heart-shaped chocolates in three flavours.

The three flavours are pistachio, almond and hazelnut. They were only sold in limited quantities to ensure their exclusivity.
