AND THE BRAND BEHIND THE RED WALL IS…
The red wall in Bryanston has caused quite the stir in the affluent Johannesburg suburb. While many loved it, most people complained about the colour of the wall and how anyone would allow it to happen without the neighbourhood’s consent.
Rumours were doing the rounds that it might be the headquarters for controversial political party EFF, or the new red-light district of the city.
Well, it’s now been revealed that the brand behind the red wall is none other than the world-famous hot sauce Tabasco.
The big reveal happened when Tabasco decorated the wall situated on the corner of Grosvenor and Bryanston Drive with products and goodies that they gave away for free.
Those lucky enough to drive or walk past the wall could help themselves to merch like branded aprons and bottles of sauces.
But many are not convinced that it really is Tabasco behind the original painting of the wall. Some believe that Tabasco has seen their opportunity to hijack the activation and take advantage of some free publicity.
Whether it really is Tabasco remains to be seen, but either way, the hot sauce brand did good.
