BRYANSTON’S RED WALL HAS EVERYONE TALKING

Who knew that painting a wall could result in the talk of the town? And the chance to win R50,000 in cash?

The wall in question is located on the corner of Grosvenor and Bryanston Drive in Bryanston, Johannesburg.

A couple of weeks ago, a few men showed up and painted the wall bright red. Bryanston’s WhatsApp groups exploded.

People wanted to know who painted it, why they painted it, and what the purpose was behind it. Some love it, some hate it. Some think it brings colour to the neighbourhood, while others feel it makes it look like Bryanston’s red-light district.

Someone even asked if it’s the EFF’s new headquarters.

And then, overnight the words “Liverpool or Man United?” as well as “Red Light District Bryanston?” were painted on the wall, followed by a Facebook page and a website offering R50,000 to anyone who can correctly guess who the people or brand are behind the red wall.

If anything, the brand behind the red wall deserves recognition for getting the people of Bryanston complaining… Sorry, talking.
