INTERNATIONAL LUXURY HOTEL OPENS IN JHB
The Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of another luxury hotel in South Africa.
The Park Hyatt Rosebank is a partnership between the Hyatt Hotels Corporation and the Millat Group.
The hotel offers 31 luxury rooms, one of the smallest offerings from the wider group. The rooms offer art themes including safari, trees, sea algae, forest, explorer, and leaves as a nod to South Africa’s diverse biospheres.
The public spaces include several other local artistic works.
The hotel, located in Rosebank, was originally constructed in the 1930s as a stately colonial mansion and reflects the influence of famous architect Sir Herbert Baker.
The Park Hyatt Rosebank developers restored the building’s original features like the high ceilings, arches, and wide verandahs.
South African traditions will be included in the spa treatments. The spa will open soon with therapies incorporating rooibos, marula oil and baobab extract.
The hotel features a restaurant named Room 32. It features cuisine prepared over live-fire grills and focuses on seasonal local ingredients.
Hamza Farooqui, CEO of the Millat Group, says the hotel focuses on service and luxury.
“The opening of Park Hyatt Johannesburg embodies our commitment to providing exceptional service, care and luxury deeply connected to the city’s rich heritage and vibrant culture.”
