'DRUG KINGPIN' ARRESTED IN LIMPOPO AFTER A R1 MILLION BUST

A foreign national has been arrested after police discover drugs worth R1 million in Limpopo province.

On Friday, Limpopo police searched a house in Polokwane and allegedly found large quantities of nyaope, crystal meth and drug manufacturing chemicals worth an estimated R1 million.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Mamphaswa Seabi said; "Members of the Limpopo Highway Patrol and the Tracing Team conducted an intelligence-driven operation after receiving information on the suspect, who was allegedly dealing in drugs at a particular address in Polokwane.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was possibly the kingpin distributor of drugs to local dealers who were selling on the streets."

The 40-year-old suspect is expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court in the coming days as police investigations continue.
