ELON MUSK WANTS TWITTER REPLACEMENT BY END OF YEAR
Twitter might have a new CEO by the end of the year if Elon Musk has his way.
He announced the news during the World Government Summit in Dubai.
“Probably towards the end of this year would be good timing to find someone else to run the company. I think it should be in a stable position around the end of this year.”
He said he wanted to “find someone else” but first needed to stabilise the organisation.
“I think it should be in a stable position around the end of this year.”
CNN reports that in December, the billionaire said he would step down as Twitter’s CEO but only when he identified a successor, after millions of Twitter users voted for his ouster in a poll that he set up on the platform.
Although he said he wants to resign as CEO, he hinted that he might still stay on as an employee because he would still “run the software and servers teams”.
The social media company’s shares went through a tumultuous time when Musk bought the company. His occasional tweets had a negative effect on the share price as well.
