HARRY POTTER TV SERIES IN THE MAKING
It’s been more than 20 years since the first Harry Potter movie was released and now Warner Bros. Discovery is about to launch the TV version of the books.
According to CEO David Zaslav, the TV studio has “not been shy about our excitement around Harry Potter”.
Out of the seven books written by J.K. Rowling, eight movies were made. The seventh book was made into two movies with a part one and a part two.
Now, it’s believed that each book will get its own season of the TV show dedicated to it giving us a total of seven seasons.
Zaslav said the studio executives flew to London to get the author’s input.
“We spent some real time with J.K. and her team. Both sides are just thrilled to be reigniting this franchise. Our conversations were great, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead. We can’t wait to share a decade of new stories with fans around the world.”
Casting announcements haven’t been made yet as several things still have to fall in place before the team can start looking for new child actors to fill the roles.
The actors who played the three main characters in the movie franchise, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, have all gone on to become successful adult actors.
