MADONNA BUSTED FOR PHOTOSHOPPING HER FACE ONTO ANOTHER WOMAN'S BODY
World famous singer, Madonna, has recently been accused of photoshopping her face onto the body of a young Australian woman.
Madonna shared a photo of "herself" on Instagram on May 1, 2015, wearing a tight houndstooth skirt and Joy Division T-shirt, to promote her rebel album. She captioned the photo "I look Kewl", but did not mention anything of the image editing program called Photoshop.
Although it is Madonna's face in the photo, the body actually belongs to 28-year-old Amelia Goldie. Amelia soon noticed that the singer's body looked incredibly familiar and soon brought the bizarre photo-stealing to the public's attention in a viral TikTok video this month.
Amelia stated to the media that, at first, she thought is was a joke but then "realised it wasn’t because it was [posted on] her official account".
She added that "I tried to reach out via Instagram to her team twice, to no response".
Back in 2017, Amelia first shared the photo of the Photoshopped Madonna onto her own Instagram account, writing: "Two years today since queen @madonna used a photo of me on her Instagram with her face photoshopped onto it. Still the best/weirdest/funniest thing to ever happen to me."
Then, on 10 March of this year, Amelia again shared the funny memory, but this time it reached over two million views on TikTok.
"When Madonna posts a photo of herself to IG to promote her album but it's actually your body (I'm not joking)."
What even surprised Amelia more was seeing that the photo was still on the singer’s Instagram, six years later. "I told my parents and they still think it’s a joke and can’t comprehend how or why it’s happened. It’s hilarious.
"I [would] definitely laugh and say I'm flattered, but of course that I wish I was credited! I think if you're going to play somebody else's body off as your own, they deserve to be mentioned. But no hard feelings!"
It is still a mystery whether Madonna or her team are aware they've been caught, but they will soon figure it out as fans have been flooding the 2015 post with jokes and accusations.
One wrote; "Sooooo. This is your body, right?"
"Madonna's secret to youth: steal the body of a 20 something and drink the blood of virgins," wrote another.
One also commented; "Girl, this ain't even good photoshop," while another accused her of trying to "play someone else's body off as your own."
