MAN STEALS 200,000 CHOCOLATE EGGS

A man has been found guilty of stealing almost 200,000 chocolate eggs in England.

Joby Pool broke into a unit in Telford and stole Cadbury Crème Eggs to the value of 40,000 pounds.

According to a police report, Pool used a metal grinder to break into the industrial unit.

Prosecutor Owen Beale from the Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court said: “This clearly wasn’t spur-of-the-moment offending if I can put it like that because he had taken with him a tractor unit and he had to know that the load was there in the first place.

The eggs were discovered when he was stopped by police. He didn’t offer any resistance when he was arrested.

West Merica Police saw the funny side of the story when they tweeted: “The eggs-travagant theft took place on Saturday 11 February with the chocolate collection box thought to be worth around 40,000 pounds. Along with the crème eggs, a number of other chocolate varieties were also stolen.”

The 32-year-old Pool was remanded in custody. He will be sentenced next month.
