MBAPPé’S ANKLE INJURY UNDER CONTROL

Just moments after scoring his team’s third goal, Kyliam Mbappé was forced to leave the field because of an ankle injury.

Although he managed to help his team, Real Madrid beat Villareal 3-1, the French national captain’s chances of playing for France in their upcoming two matches have been a major concern.

Mbappé was sent for medical tests immediately after leaving the field. The tests confirmed that the player suffered a mild sprain in his right ankle. The injury seems to be minor and won’t prevent him from playing for his national team.

France is set to play Azerbaijan on 10 October and Iceland on 13 October. Both matches are World Cup qualifiers and critical for the country to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 26 to be played in Canada, the United States and Mexico next year.
