MILEY CYRUS CLAIMS LONGEST-RUNNING NO.1 HIT OF ALL TIME ON A BILLBOARD CHART

When Miley Cyrus released the song ‘Flowers’ in 2023 it was an instant hit with the song reaching the charts within days.

It’s now been more than a year and the song is still at the top of the charts, adding Miley’s name to the record books.

For 37 weeks now, the song has been number one on the radio ranking of songs that reach the largest audience at adult contemporary stations in the United States.

‘Flowers’ overtook the previous record held by Maroon 5 with the massive hit ‘Girls Like You’. The song was the number-one song on the radio list in 2018 and 2019.

The third-longest-running leader spending 35 weeks at the top is ‘Blinding Lights’ by The Weeknd.

In the coming weeks, ‘Flowers’ will reach a full year spent on the Adult Contemporary chart. It now joins the ranks with other hit songs from singer/songwriters like Harry Styles, Sia and Taylor Swift.
