BRITISH AIRWAYS PILOT KIDNAPPED AND TORTURED IN JOHANNESBURG

A pilot flying for British Airways has reportedly been tortured and kidnapped during a flight layover in South Africa.

It’s believed the pilot went shopping on his own during a stay over in Johannesburg when he was approached by a woman claiming to need help with her shopping bags.

When he approached her to help, the man says he was bundled into a car by men who then drove him to an unknown location before they tortured him for hours.

A source told The Sun that “it’s staggering what happened to the pilot. It was like something out of the movies. He fell for a scam of agreeing to help a woman in need, and before he knew it he was bundled in a vehicle and driven away”.

According to The Independent, “he then endured hours of torture and physical assaults. It only ended when he was left penniless. He is just happy to be alive. The incident has shaken the crew.”

The pilot was deemed unable to fly back to London after what happened to him and the airline had to find a replacement for him.

On social media, the airline confirmed that a staff member was abducted outside of Melrose Arch and that it was supporting local police with their investigation.
