PARIS NAMES STREET AFTER DAVID BOWIE

On what would have been the singer’s 77th birthday, Rue David Bowie has been inaugurated in Paris.

The inauguration took place on Monday.

A statement was launched by the Paris city council with details including the location of the street: Next to Austerlitz Station in the 13th arrondissement in the southeast of the French capital.

Coinciding with the inauguration of the street, the town hall located in the 13th arrondissement is hosting an art exhibition dedicated to Bowie.

Bowie, who died in 2016, fought a long and hard battle with cancer before passing away at the age of 69.

CNN reports that Bowie was known for his incomparable sound and chameleon-like ability to reinvent himself throughout a career spanning more than four decades.
