RASSIE STARTS CHRISTMAS WITH A FAN WALK IN CAPE TOWN

Rassie Starts Christmas With A Fan Walk In Cape Town

It’s not every day that the Springbok rugby coach invites you to take a walk with him. But, that’s just what Rassie Erasmus did to celebrate the dawn of Christmas day.

Erasmus broadcasted an open invitation to anyone who wanted to join him for a brisk 6-kilometre walk along the Blouberg beachfront on the morning of 25 December.

“If there anyone keen in Bloubergstrand from Wednesday 06h00 in front of Doodles we go for a walk (not run) we walk 3km out and 3 back! If you are keen see you there! Maybe let me know in the comments. Lekka.”

A group of people showed up and made the most of the opportunity to spend a beautiful morning in Cape Town with the Bok coach.

‘Thank you to everyone who was down at the beach… For making it fun.

“We know it’s bigger than having fun and about more than giving out presents… We all know there’s a much bigger purpose. For those who are religious, who know God provides for us, it was a nice way to say, ‘Thank you.’ We know what an important day this is, and let’s keep it that way.
