RYAN GOSLING HITS BILLBOARD CHART WITH KEN SONG

Ryan Gosling has made history by playing Ken in the smash movie Barbie opposite Margot Robbie. Not only has the movie grossed a whopping $1 billion dollars at theatres worldwide only three weeks after its release, but one of the songs from the movie has debuted at number 87.

The artist? Gosling as Ken. The song? Just Ken.

The song was released on 21 July with the Barbie movie. In its opening week, the song had 5.2 million streams in the United States alone and 2,000 downloads in its opening week.

Not only did it hit the Billboard top 100 songs, but it also debuted at number four on the Hot Rock Songs chart and number five on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.

The Barbie movie soundtrack is the highest charting soundtrack on the Billboard 200 since Encanto was released in 2022. It was on the chart for nine non-consecutive weeks between January and March of that year.

Surprisingly, it’s not the first time that Gosling has made it to the charts. His song, City of Stars, featured in the 2016 hit film La La Land. The song spent two weeks at number one.
