THE STARS ARE GETTING READY FOR THE EMMYS THIS SUNDAY

With so many outstanding series currently being watched all over the world, the judges at this year’s Emmy Awards have had a tough time choosing the winners.

Usually, the Emmy Awards are held every September, but due to the Hollywood writer's strike last year, the 2023 ceremony was only held in January.

This means that there are only eight months between the two ceremonies, but organisers are firm believers that there’s more than enough content and actors to celebrate again so soon.

Some of the shows where big things are being expected are Baby Reindeer, The Bear and The Crown.

With Hollywood A-listers returning to series more frequently, big names like Idris Elba, Jennifer Aniston, Meryl Streep, Jodie Foster and Robert Downey Jr. are all up for nominations.

Sunday’s ceremony will be hosted by Canadian father-and-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy.

The pair’s sitcom, Schitt’s Creek dominated the 2020 Emmy Awards.

“For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theatre was incentive enough. We’re thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television.”
