TRUMP WORKS BEHIND MCDONALD’S COUNTER

During the final weeks of campaigning, Republican Donald Trump stopped by a McDonald’s in the US state of Pennsylvania. He didn’t stop to eat, though. He stopped to work. The former president swapped his suit jacket for an apron and started working as a fry attendant. He then proceeded to serve customers through the drive-through window where he boasted about making the fries and that he’ll pay on their behalf. Many believe this move was based on Vice President Kamala Harris’ reference to working as a fry attendant as a young woman. It has since become a very important part of the middle-class references she makes during her campaign speeches to connect with middle-class voters. When Trump arrived at the Golden Arches, he said: “I’m looking for a job and I’ve always wanted to work at McDonald’s, but I never did.

“I’m running against somebody that said she did, but it turned out to be totally phony story.”

No one has been able to prove that Harris indeed worked at a McDonald’s as a young woman and her representatives chose not to respond to the accusations made by Trump.

The elections will be held on Tuesday 5 November.
