U2 TO TAKE UP RESIDENCY IN LAS VEGAS

One of the world’s favourite pop rock bands have announced that they will be taking up residency in Last Vegas.

U2 have said that they will be performing a series of immersive concerts at The Sphere, the brand-new Las Vegas venue.

The series, called U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere will kick off on Friday 29 September. The other shows will take place on Saturday 30 September, Thursday 5 October, Saturday 7 October and Sunday 8 October.

The band has said that it will be making use of Verified Fan to ensure tickets will be sold to fans and not buyers who want to resell them.

“Tickets for this run of shows will be in high demand, therefore Verified Fan will be used to ensure more tickets get into the hands of fans who want to go to the show, not buyers looking to resell them.”

More info and the chance to register for Verified Fan is available at u2.ticketsmaster.com

Larry Mullen, the band’s drummer, is currently recovering from surgery that he had to undergo due to drumming-related injuries.

For this series of concerts, the band is welcoming Dutch drummer Bram van den Berg who has been called “a force in his own right” by the band.
