WHAT ARE THE #CHALLENGEACCEPTED AND #WOMENSUPPORTINGWOMEN ALL ABOUT?
You might have seen a series of women posting black and white photos of themselves on social media this week with the #ChallengeAccepted and #WomenSupportingWomen.
So, what’s the fuss about? While the origin of the hashtag or the challenge isn’t known, the idea behind it is loud and clear: women are supporting women.
In the middle of a worldwide pandemic where we all could do with some upliftment and encouragement, women all over the world are embracing this viral hashtag.
Many celebs like Reese Witherspoon, Eva Longoria, Kerry Washington, Liz Hurley, Zoe Saldana, Victoria Beckham and Khloe Kardashian have posted black and white selfies of themselves adding the #womensupportingwomen.
The Cut spoke to an Instagram spokesperson who explained that the hashtag is "meant to celebrate strength, spread love, and remind all women that supporting each other is everything."
So, if you’d like to join in on the viral fun, post a black and white photo of yourself and challenge phenomenal women in your life by tagging them. Don’t forget to use the hashtags!
