ANELE MDODA’S DAD BUILDS A SCHOOL

Local media personality Anele Mdoda has announced that her father Patilizwe ‘Pat’ Mdoda is in the process of building a school.

The school is located in an Eastern Cape village called Tsolo.

Mdoda is the breakfast show host on radio station 947 and is also known for her various presenting, MCing and behind-the-scenes work in different media fields and industries.

She shared the news on Twitter along with photos.

“The school my father is building in our village. Ncembu kuTsholo. My father attended Grade 1 in a hut on the very ground he has built this school on. Some brands I work with have come on board like, LEGO bricks will be doing the Early Childhood Development centre for us.”

After the announcement, the topic trended on social media with many sharing their joy over the fact that a celebrity has used her status for good.

Mdoda has been very busy over the last couple of months. Besides the lifestyle show she co-hosts with Neil Andrews on Saturday mornings on SuperSport, she also recently attended the 25th anniversary of Lebo M’s The Lion King. The Broadway adaptation of the Disney movie has been going strong on Broadway for 25 years.
