CATCH AN UBER SAFARI
Uber is popular worldwide and offers services, trips, and fares unique to each country. That became evident when the e-hailing company recently announced that it’s now offering riders in Cape Town a one-day game drive to a private reserve.
You can now book the new ride option from the Mother City to Aquila Private Game Reserve and back for a flat fee of about R3 400.
This private game reserve offers 10 000-hectare wildlife conservancy, is home to the Big 5 and is about a two-hour drive from Cape Town. The popular tourist destination is located near Touws River.
According to a statement released by Uber “the day trip includes a pickup in Cape Town in an Uber Safari-branded vehicle, so riders can sit back and relax as they head out of the bustle of the city”.
The statement also said upon arrival at Aquilla, guests will enjoy a welcome toast and lunch before boarding a traditional safari vehicle with experienced game rangers and field guides.
There are some terms and conditions to the offer though. This service is only available on Fridays and Saturdays and only from October to January.
Bookings for an Uber Safari must be made more than 24 hours in advance and can accommodate up to four guests at a time.
