FIRE AT ENTERTAINMENT VENUE IN INDIA KILLS 24

A fire that broke out in a family entertainment venue in India has killed at least 24 people. Among the victims are several children.

The TRP game zone is located in western India’s Gujarat state in the Rajkot district.

Local mayor Nyana Pedhadiya said the death toll is expected to rise.

“Our focus is on rescue operations and saving lives. We will ensure strict action is taken against the people who are responsible for this incident.”

The entire structure was gutted in the blaze as thick clouds of smoke could be seen coming out of the family entertainment venue.

Reuters reports that a police official at the local civil hospital said some of the bodies were charred beyond recognition.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared news about the incident on X, formerly known as Twitter. He said that the local administration was working to assist those affected.

“Extremely distressed by the fire mishap in Rajkot. My thoughts are with all those who have lost their loved ones.”

According to reports, some bodies were burnt beyond recognition.

The cause of the fire hasn’t been established yet, but an investigation has been launched into the matter.
