TAYLOR SWIFT’S ERAS TOUR MADE $2 BILLION IN TICKET SALES
American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift has been smashing records for a while now. But, this one takes the cake.
Swift’s The Eras Tour kicked off in March 2023 in the United States, toured the world (except Africa) and finished in December 2024 in Canada.
Over almost two years, Swift performed 149 shows to 10.1 million people. Through ticket sales, the tour brought in $2.2 billion. This makes it the highest-grossing tour of all time, for the second year in a row.
Last year, the same tour became the first ever to cross the billion-dollar mark.
Every single show on the tour was sold out. The biggest single-night’s attendance was in Australia. The Melbourne show that took place on 16 February 2024 drew a crowd of 96,006.
In London, she did eight nights at Wembley Stadium and collectively drew 753,112 people. A similar thing happened in Seattle.
The ticket sales figure is just that, ticket sales. It excludes the merchandise sales that, in some cities, opened a day before the first show because there was such a high demand for it.
It’s safe to say that Taylor Swift is probably now in her I’m-tired-but-extremely-rich era.
