US EXPELS SA’S AMBASSADOR

South Africa’s ambassador to the United States has been expelled.

This comes after the United States’ secretary of state, Marco Rubio posted on X that Ebrahim Rasool is “no longer welcome in our great country”.

Rubio said that Rasool is a “race-baiting politician who hates America and hates @POTUS.

“We have nothing to discuss with him and so he is considered a persona non grata.”

Part of Rubio’s post included a link to a story by Breitbart which reported on Rasool giving a webinar in which he spoke about actions taken by the Trump administration in the context of a United States where white people would soon no longer be a majority.

The South African government responded in an online post that said it noticed the “regrettable expulsion of South Africa’s ambassador” and urged everyone to maintain the “established diplomatic decorum” on the matter.

Soon after his inauguration, US President Donald Trump welcomed white farmers and their families to apply for refugee status as he believes the South African government is illegally “confiscating” land from white farmers.

According to The Guardian, Rasool is a former anti-apartheid campaigner who served time in prison for his activism and went on to become a politician in the African National Congress.
