WILL SMITH AND JADA PINKETT SMITH SEPARATED SINCE 2016

Hollywood couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith has been separated since 2016.

This was revealed by Jada during an interview recently where she was discussing her memoir published this week.

She revealed that up until now, they were not “ready yet” to go public with their separation as they were “still trying to figure out between the two of us, how to be in partnership”.

An extract from her memoir, Worthy, says “we had been living separate lives and were there as a family, not as husband and wife”.

Their marriage came under the spotlight at the 2022 Academy Awards when presenter Chris Rock made a comment about Jada.

Will got out his seat, walked onto the stage and slapped Chris across the face. When he returned to his seat, he shouted at Chris to “keep my wife’s name out of your mouth”.

She revealed in her memoir that she was unsure why Will was so made since they were separated, and she wasn’t his wife anymore.

Jada also revealed that she initially thought the Oscars incident was a joke and only realised it wasn’t when Will shouted those words.
