SUSIE WOLFF LAYS CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST FIA

The F1 Driver Academy managing director has made it clear that you never ever mess with her reputation, no matter who you are.

Susie Wolf, who also happens to be the wife of Mercedes F1 team boss Toto Wolff has filed a criminal complaint against the Federation International de l’Automobile (FIA), the governing body for several auto racing events, including Formula One.

In December, the FIA issued a statement regarding the sharing of confidential information.

‘The FIA is aware of media speculation centred on the allegation of information of a confidential nature being passed to an F1 principal from a member of FOM personnel. The FIA Compliance Department is looking into the matter.”

Even though the identities of the team principal and the FOM personnel was never mentioned, everyone in the world of F1 assumed they were referring to the Wolff’s. And that’s what Susie is angry about.

Soon after the statement was released, all nine of Mercedes’ rivals released statements that they had not complained to the FIA, which led many to believe that it was an internal unbiased complaint.

Two days after the statement was released, the FIA said the matter was closed. No formal investigation was needed.

In a statement released by Wolff this week, she said: “I can confirm that I have personally filed a criminal complaint in the French courts on the 4 March in relation to the statements made about me by the FIA last December.”
