A TENNIS STORY WITH A HAPPY ENDING
When the internet is called in to help a story end with a smile, it never disappoints.
At the US Open, tennis player Kamil Majchrzak beat Karen Khachanov in a five-set thriller on Court 11.
After the match, Majchrzak took the time to sign some autographs for fans next to the court. The TV cameras were filming when Majchrzak could be seen handing a cap to a young fan. The boy’s age is guessed at about 9 or 10.
Before the boy could take the cap, an adult could be seen snatching it and putting the cap in his bag. Although Majchrzak didn’t see it when it happened, he saw the video afterwards and then decided to take action.
Majchrzak took to social media and asked the internet to do its thing.
"After the match, I didn't record that my cap didn't get to the boy ... Could you help me find the kid from my match?"
Only a day later, Majchrzak posted again, this time with good news.
A photo of the tennis player and the little boy, Brock, was posted by Majchrzak along with this caption:
"Hello World, Together with Brock, we wish you a great day!"
What happened to the man who stole the boy’s cap? The internet also did its thing there, and apparently, he has had to turn off his social media comments.
