COURT DISMISSES JUSTIN BALDONI’S CASE AGAINST BLAKE LIVELY
Actor Justin Baldoni’s case against married actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds has been dismissed by a court in Los Angeles.
Baldone sued the couple for wanting to “destroy” him and his career after they hijacked his film, It Ends With Us. Baldoni and Lively were the main actors in the movie, which was produced by Baldoni and was released in 2024.
The legal drama started when Lively filed a civil rights complaint against Baldoni in December 2024, claiming she was sexually harassed by Baldoni during production of the movie. She also alleges that she was retaliated against for speaking up about the alleged mistreatment.
When Baldoni publicly denied the allegations, Lively escalated her civil rights complaint to an official lawsuit.
Baldoni then retaliated by filing a $400 million defamation lawsuit of his own against the couple.
Lively took to Instagram to share her joy after hearing about the dismissal.
“Like so many others, I’ve felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us. While the suit against me was defeated, so many don’t have the resources to fight back,” she wrote.
“I’m more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman’s right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story.”
