DID THE SIMPSONS PREDICT THE FUTURE YET AGAIN?

Once again, The Simpsons have managed to (possibly) predict the future.

In a 2000 episode called Bart to the Future, Lisa Simpson grows up and becomes the United States’ first female president.

Not only that, but her outfit in the episode is very similar to that worn by Kamala Harris when she was inaugurated as Vice President.

This isn’t the first time that TV’s longest-running series managed to predict the future years and in some cases even decades before it happened.

Sixteen years before he was elected, The Simpsons referred to a “President Trump” in an episode way before the world even became aware of Donald Trump’s political aspirations.

In 2012, The Simpsons showed Lady Gaga performing at a concert in Springfield. At the concert, she flew through the air, very similar to what the singer did during her performance at the 2017 Super Bowl five years later.

Events aren’t the only things that The Simpsons has managed to predict accurately.

In an episode that aired for the first time in 1995, one of the characters can be seen talking on his phone watch. Decades later, we’re all walking around with smartwatches.

Now, if only they were able to predict this weekend’s winning lottery numbers…
