INSIDE OUT 2 SO FAR 13TH HIGHEST-GROSSING FILM EVER
It’s a movie all about emotions and it’s living up to its name at the moment.
Disney and Pixar’s movie sequel Inside Out 2 opened in theatres last month and passed the $1 billion mark a mere 19 days later.
It’s now been named the fastest-growing animated movie of all time as well as the 13th highest-grossing film of all time only six weeks in its theatrical run.
On Wednesday, Disney announced that Inside Out 2 has dethroned former record holder Frozen 2 from 2019.
Box Office Pro is a company which collects sales and showtime data from thousands of movie theatres across the United States. Their editorial director, Daniel Loria, said the movie has been breaking records “from Europe to Asia, the Middle East to the US”.
“You just see incredible, record-breaking numbers for a movie. It’s definitely a great success story for movie theatres… all over the world.”
The excitement around the movie since its release is gaining the same excitement experienced during last year’s Barbenheimer craze and after a slow couple of months in theatres due to the writer's strike last year, things are looking up again.
