TWO CHILDREN KILLED, NINE INJURED IN ENGLAND KNIFE ATTACK
Two children have been stabbed to death and nine others have been injured after a man entered a dance class in England and started stabbing the victims.
The dance school in Stockport in the northern parts of England was hosting a Taylor Swift-themed dance class when the incident took place. The class was organised for children aged six years to 11 years old.
According to the local police chief constable Serena Kennedy, six of the injured children are in critical condition in hospital. Two adults are also in critical condition.
At a news conference, Kennedy said they believed that the adults who were injured were bravely trying to protect the children who were being attacked.
She explained that even though the police said earlier that the incident wasn’t treated as terror-related, “the investigation is in its early stages and the motivation for the incident remains unclear”.
It’s believed a man walked into the dance school and started attacking at random and that it wasn’t a targeted attack.
Police later announced that a 17-year-old boy was arrested at the scene on “suspicion of murder and attempted murder”.
King Charles III and Prince William issued statements on behalf of themselves and their wives to share their shock and condolences.
