SHEIN TO OPEN PHYSICAL STORE IN SA

Get ready, because Shein is about to make shopping even easier than before.

The e-commerce retail giant will open its first pop-up store in South Africa at the Mall of Africa in Johannesburg.

The limited edition store will only be open from Friday 2 August to Sunday 11 August.

The pop-up store will only be an exhibition space to feature their new fashion lines, and lifestyle products. So that means you won’t be able to buy anything right there and then.

You will, however, be able to try on the products featured in-store and buy them online and you could even get a discount at the store.

The South African government has clamped down on online fast fashion retailers like Shein and Temu because of the big amounts of tax the government is losing out on. Several small businesses around the country have also expressed their struggles due to people preferring to buy through online retailers.

Shein was founded in China but is currently headquartered in Singapore.
