ITALY OFFERS TO HOST ZUCKERBERG AND MUSK FIGHT
Italy’s culture minister, Gennaro Sangiulioano has announced that Italy would love to host the planned cage fight between tech billionaires Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk.
The two men have been in a public dispute about several topics for years and when Musk tweeted that he was “up for a cage fight” with Zuckerberg, the Meta CEO simply replied “send me location”.
It’s believed that, should the fight actually go ahead, millions of dollars will be donated to children’s hospitals.
Sangiuliano said in a statement that the planning around the event has already started.
“I had a long and friendly conversation with Elon Musk, we talked about our shared passion for ancient Roman history. We are thinking about how to organise a great charity and historical evocation event, respecting, and fully protecting the setting.”
He confirmed that the event will not take place in the country’s capital.
“It will not take place in Rome.”
Zuckerberg said earlier this month that he has “been ready to fight since the day Elon challenged me” and if a date was ever agreed upon “you’ll hear it from me”.
He continued, saying “until then, please assume anything he says has not been agreed on.”
