MESSI’S PHOTOS ARE NOW INSTAGRAM’S MOST LIKED

Argentine footballer Lionel Messi has not only won the World Cup for his country, but he has broken a new record set by Kylie Jenner.

The series of images feature Messi and his fellow players celebrating their 2022 World Cup win. The images have gained more than 67 million likes on Instagram and this happened only a few hours after they were posted.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook owner Meta, officially announced that it is “now the most liked in Instagram history”.

Messi won the World Cup for his country when Argentina beat France in Qatar. The player announced that it was his last World Cup game for his country. He had a brilliant World Cup, scored two goals for his country and was awarded the Golden Ball for being the best player in the tournament.

CNN reports that before Messi’s post, the most-liked photo on Instagram was an ordinary brown egg.

Posted in 2019, it boasts over 57 million likes and had overtaken the previous record held by reality star and makeup mogul Kylie Jenner.
