MISS SOUTH AFRICA NOT TO ATTEND MISS UNIVERSE

The new Miss South Africa, Natsha Joubert has decided not to represent our country at this year’s Miss Universe pageant.

The surprise announcement was made while Joubert was live on air at radio station 947.

The 26-year-old said that she plans to complete her full reign (one year) as Miss South Africa.

“This was the goal, coming back. I am serving my country (and) I meant it. Miss South Africa was always the goal. I wanted this job.”

In 2020, Joubert was given the chance to represent Sout Africa at the 2020 Miss Universe pageant and felt that this year it was her turn to give someone else a chance.

Although she won’t be competing at the events, she has offered to travel with the chosen representative to both the Miss Universe and Miss Supernatural pageants.

South Africa chose not to participate in this year’s Miss World, but will be sending a representative to Miss Universe.
