RUDOLPH GIULIANI CALLS OUT BORAT SCENE
Rudolph Giuliani has called out Borat actor, Sacha Baron Cohen, for editing footage of him to make it seem as if he acted inappropriate towards the actress interviewing him.
In the scene from the movie Borat Subsequent Movie Film: Delivery Of Prodigious Bride To American Regime For Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan, the 76-year-old Giuliani is being interviewed by actress Maria Bakalova, when Borat steps in to check the sound. Once the actress ushers him out of the hotel room where the interview is being conducted, the interview continues.
Bakalova and Giuliani then move into the bedroom where Giuliani says the actress removed his recording device. He then tucked in his shirt after she removed the device, but the footage looks as if something else happened.
The former mayor of New York is insisting that the footage is fake, tweeting "The Borat video is a complete fabrication. I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment.
At no time before, during or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise, he is a stone-cold liar."
Giuliani went on to say that he believes this is a publicity stunt for the movie and that Baron Cohen aims to take away his efforts in exposing Joe Biden during his presidential campaign.
USA Today reports that Baron Cohen is shielded by his Hollywood lawyers waving airtight consent forms and "appearance releases".
Since the release of the first Borat movie, Baron Cohen has been sued several times. Giuliani’s lawyers, however have been tight lipped.
