THE ROCK REVEALS REASON FOR MASSIVE WEIGHT LOSS
He was known for his muscles not only as a world-famous professional wrestler but also as an action movie hero. However, nowadays, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appears quite different.
During the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, the actor revealed that his new slimmed-down image is for a movie role.
“We’re gonna make a film called Lizard Music, which is based on a novel written by Daniel Pinkwater,” Johnson told the audience.
He said the film “is a very whimsical and eccentric 70-something-year-old man called the Chicken Man. And his best friend is a 70-something-year-old chicken”.
The 53-year-old said he’s excited to transform his body again, following his recent transformation for another movie.
“I’m so excited because I get a chance to hopefully transform again, like I was able to do in Smashing Machine. Can’t wait.”
In his latest movie, The Smashing Machine, Johnson plays the role of former MMA fighter and UFC heavyweight champion Mark Kerr.
The movie recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and the reviews were excellent. Rumours are doing the rounds that this could mean an Oscar nomination for Johnson’s portrayal of Kerr.
But, for now, Johnson is focusing on slimming down, and he recognises that it’s a challenge.
“This is me slimmed down,” he said. “I still have a long way to go.”
