MAN FOUND DEAD AT BURNING MAN

While the Man was being burned, a man’s body was discovered at the Burning Man festival in the United States.

A homicide investigation has been launched after a man was found “lying in a pool of blood” on the final night of the festival.

The Burning Man festival is an annual festival that takes place over a week in the US state of Nevada. The festival focuses on community, art, self-expression and self-reliance, according to Wikipedia.

On the last night of the festival, the Man, a towering structure, is burnt to the ground.

The victim’s body was discovered by a festival-goer at about 21:15. The local county sheriff’s office said the man was found "lying on the ground, obviously deceased" at one of the campsites.

Part of the site was cordoned off as police did their on-site investigation. Several festival goers in the immediate area were interviewed with the hope that someone would be able to give more information.

According to the local sheriff, a warning has been issued to other festival goers.

"Although this act appears to be a singular crime, all participants should always be vigilant of their surroundings and acquaintances."

This isn’t the first time that a fatality has been reported at Burning Man. A torrential downpour led to the death of a person in 2023, and in 2017, a man ran into the Man structure while it was burning.
