VALLEY OF WAVES CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE
Every year, Sun City’s Valley of the Waves is closed down for annual maintenance. This usually happens in the weeks leading up to the June school holidays.
The water park in the North West province will close from 13 May to 21 June.
The Valley of Waves is popular among families and children over weekends and during the holidays.
Resort general manager Brett Hoppe said while the water park might be closed, there are still other options for people to enjoy. It offers water slides, sandy beaches, a lazy river and more.
“While our water park closes annually to ensure that it remains in a world-class condition, guests need not fear, Sun City has a long list of other fun water sports and activities available for the whole family.”
The man-made Waterworld Lake is one of the resort’s popular options. Guests can ski, cruise or glide over the water and it’s located in front of the grass lawns of the Cabanas Hotel.
