SARAH FERGUSON DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER

The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The diagnosis was made during a recent mammogram screening. The Duchess underwent an operation with a successful outcome.

Her spokesperson said in a statement that the Duchess was advised that she needed to undergo surgery.

“The Duchess is receiving the best medical care, and her doctors have told her that the prognosis is good.”

The 63-year-old is reportedly recuperating at home with her family.

Her spokesperson added that the Duchess is grateful to all the medical staff who took care of her during this time.

“She is hugely thankful to the staff involved in the mammogram which identified her illness, which was otherwise symptom-free, and believes her experience underlines the importance of regular screening.”

The Duchess was married to Prince Andrew, the second eldest son of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
