COLDPLAY TEASES SA RETURN

Coldplay concerts have been quite interesting lately, from performing their hit songs to exposing affairs between CEOs and HR managers.

Now, it appears that the British group may be heading back to South African shores.

The band’s Music of the Spheres tour launched back in March 2022. Chris Martin and his band have played 211 shows to 13 million fans since then.

With ticket sales generating more than R25 billion, it’s been labelled as the second-highest-grossing concert tour ever, just behind Taylor Swift’s Eras tour.

The band had their final concert at London’s Wembley Stadium over the weekend, when Martin announced that the tour will resume in 2027 again with 138 concerts planned.

During his announcement, Martin revealed that the tour would continue “somewhere in southern Africa in about 18 months”.

The last time Coldplay performed in South Africa was in 2011 in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Nothing has been confirmed or denied by the band or their representatives, but we’re holding thumbs that the news might be more than just a rumour.
